Kretchman Coaching Award
Recipient of the Kretchman Coaching Award, Dave received his B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Northern in 1966. He was a four year letter winner in track & field during his time at Northern.
After graduation, Dave went on to coach at Bristol, SD from 1966-1970. He then moved to Burnsville, MN. He coached there from 1970-1994, and then again from 1998-2002. During his time as a coach, Dave has had five cross country state team championships, and one track & field team state championships. In 1992, Dave was inducted into the Minnesota Cross Country Hall of Fame.
