2015-16: 2016 NCAA National Runner-up and All-American… Named NWCA All-Academic… Earned NSIC All-Conference honors… Placed second at the DWU Open… Went 7-1 in postseason action… Tallied only one loss in conference action, to Aero Amo of Augustana… Finished the year with a 30-4 record overall… 

2014-15: Earned NSIC All-Conference and All-American honors at 197 pounds... Finished with an overall record of 28-12... Won the 197 pound title at the MSU Moorhead Open... Went 2-3 at Super Regionals to advance to the national stage... Recorded a 2-3 record at the NCAA National Tournament...

2013-14: Gomez went 23-15 on the season ... his 23 wins led the team ... Gomez went 3-3 at the NCAA Super Regional where he placed sixth and was just one win from advancing to the national tournament ... Gomez advanced the furthest for Northern at the regional

Prep: Gomez scored 26 takedowns in dual meets as a senior for Kapowsin High School under head coach Michael Stirts.  A 2-time Athlete of the Year at KHS, he also tallied 13 escapes and 20 pins en-route to a 2013 state title at 195 pounds in that senior campaign.  Those efforts helped his team to back-to-back third place finishes as the state level his junior and senior seasons.  Off the mat, Gomez was a First Team All-League performer on the football squad and the team's Defensive MVP while helping lead the Eagles to three straight playoff appearances.  He is also involved in community service pursuits in his community.
